Casket containing a set of three porcelain perfume bottles

This wooden casket with a lock is made of dark wood wrought using the technique of intarsia and was used to store three small porcelain bottles. The vessels have the form of decanters imitating decorative pillows with fringes.

Miniature perfume bottles

The two perfume containers have the form of small bottles with round shapes and flattened bodies. This is an example of personalized perfume containers belonging to a specific person with the initials C.D., of aristocratic origin, as evidenced by a count’s crown incorporated into the upper part of the initial.

Vessel for vaseline

The porcelain vaseline vessel has a cylindrical shape and a metal lid. The body of the vessel has been painted on the glass into cobalt-coloured patterns. The black inscription “Vaselinum” is flanked by swans positioned alternately.

Perfume bottles on a chain

The two perfume bottles with flat bodies have circular and oval cross-sections. They have been framed by gilded metal.

The porcelain perfume bottle is flat and has a round body, as well as a short neck. The sides of the body are fluted. On its surface, there is a miniature painting in a golden frame with the representation of two buildings against the background formed by trees.

The pair of twin porcelain perfume bottles is in the form of a bulky decanter with a shape similar to a cube. On the side walls of the vessels, floral compositions are painted with golden paint.

In July 1930, two outstanding aviators, Franciszek Żwirko, together with Stanisław Wigura, took part in the international 1930 Challenge tourist planes competition flying the RWD-4 aircraft. On 25 July, the pilots had to withdraw due to an engine failure after a forced landing in Spain.

Chinese porcelain salt shaker

The presented salt shaker is an example of early white-blue pottery, which is decorated with cobalt blue. It is a rare form of Far Eastern porcelain imported to Europe. The object has come a long way to the collection of the Wieliczka Museum, because it was made in China during the Kangxi period (1662–1722).

Porcelain salt cellar with a figure of black woman with a basket

This is a figurine-shaped porcelain salt shaker with a container for salt. A very decorative figure of black woman with a basket was created in the oldest European porcelain workshop in Meissen, near Dresden. It was made according to the model developed by Johann Friedrich Eberlein in 1741.

This porcelain perfume bottle has the shape of a rectangular decanter with rounded edges. The finish of the bottle and the cap are made of metal. The cap is gilded and has the shape of a dome.

This porcelain vase takes the form of a cup-shaped urn with holes in the lid. The dish is designed for making compositions from dried flowers. Its large, hemispherical body rests on a multi-stage stand with a circular cross-section, based on a square with bevelled corners.

The porcelain pouncet-box is octagonal in shape. On the outside, all of its sides are painted in dark blue and decorated with an ornament composed of a stylized floral tendril with flowers, painted with gold paint using the impasto technique. The interior of the pouncet-box is white.

Vessel with an openwork lid for potpourri compositions made from dried flowers

This porcelain vase in the form of an urn, with openings in the lid, is intended for storing potpourris, i.e. scented mixtures made from dried herbs and flowers. This vessel with a circular cross-section and a body expanding at the top is covered by a lid with tear-shaped openings, crowned by a handle in the form of a flower bud.

The porcelain pouncet-box with a lid equipped with a handle has the shape of a rosette. Golden leaf-covered branches have been painted on the lid and a relief ornament resembling fluting has been placed on its sides.

The porcelain baluster-shaped perfume bottle was shaped to include bevels and is topped with a pointed stopper. It is decorated on the entire surface with a pattern composed of Gothic quatrefoil ornaments in the spaces of a grid.
