The sculpture depicts Christ hanged on a cross with his hands outstretched. His head is leaning a little towards his right shoulder. The plasticity of the face strikes us with the calmness with which the Redeemer accepts suffering. He is looking down and his lips are closed. The artist emphasised the cheekbones as well as the long, narrow nose. The short beard and hair were elaborated with great attention to detail, making it a natural impression. The sculpture has distorted proportions of the body: Christ has broad hips, long arms and large hands; additionally, emphasised by nails as attributes of Passion The Redeemer’s ribs and chest are also enhanced. The red colour and a shallow hollow point to the mark left by the spear on the body of the Son of God. Christ is girdled around with a short, pleated loincloth tied in a knot on his right hip. The sculpture has no feet.
