This plate was originally located above the entrance gate to the city of Biecz. It belonged to Mikołaj Ligęza from Bobrek (c. 1530–1603) who obtained the position of starosta (district governor) of Biecz in 1561, through his marriage to Elżbieta née Jordan, and in 1575 – the position of the governor of Biecz Province from Jan Tarło.
The plate has the form of a standing rectangle. Two-thirds of its height is occupied by the relief of a shield with the coat of arms of Mikołaj Ligęza – Półkozic. Above it, there is a jewel in the form of a helmet and półkozica [half a goat] in profile. The coat of arms is surrounded by an arched mantling of chunky carved acanthus leaves. The coat of arms is flanked by two additional coats of arms: Leliwa and Trąby. The first coat of arms refers to the mother of Mikołaj Ligęza – Zofia Tarnowska, and the second to his wife — Elżbieta née Jordan.

In the lower part of the plate, in the place enclosed with a frame, there is an engraved foundation inscription: “NICOLAVS LIGEZA DE BOBREK. CASTELLANVS/ ZAWICHOSTEN CAPIS VIR SVMMA HVMANI/[T]ATE ET LIBERALITATE SVATAM DOMI QVAM/ […]TORIS CONSPICVVS HANC PORTAM PVBLICA/ […]AXO MARMORIO SVB DIPLOMATE SVO IN CA/PITE ASINI EXPRÆSSO ADORNAVIT ET IN / PERPETVAM MEMORIAM HVIC PARIETE AP/PLICAVIT ANACHRONATO MDLXX”.
