This photograph presents a view of the convent complex from the south-east side, from the bank of the Vistula. On the right, we see a silhouette of the church facade, with a roof with a turret for a signature, next to a clock tower with a high dome. From the left side, there is a complex of convent buildings with an elongated wing from the south; from the front, there is a high wall made of stone blocks. The photograph shows the condition of the building after renovation and conservation works carried out in the 1890s. In the foreground, we can see part of the river-bank covered with snow. The photograph was taken in a range of ochre-blue. It consists of a positive plate together with its covering — glass with edges covered with black paper. Sticker no. 113.
The Norbertine convent was founded in 1162 by the then owner of Zwierzyniec (the name Zwierzyniec appears for the first time in the foundation document), Jaksa Gryfita from Miechów.
