This sculpture of a male head, from the early Stone Age, was found during excavations in Pleszów, in the area of Nowa Huta. Extremely realistic, it is the logotype of the branch of the Archaeological Museum in Nowa Huta.
An unknown artist presented the face with many details: the skull is arched hemispherically, the eyebrow arches are strongly outlined, the line of the narrow nose is convex, and the chin is recessed. The pierced ears draw our attention. Perhaps they were originally decorated with earrings from organic raw materials that have not survived to our times. The face has Eastern armenoid and oriental features. The figurine is of a brick-grey color, with traces of white paint on the entire surface. The sculpture was made of clay, then fired at about 600 degrees Celsius.
