Zdzisław Jasiński (1863–1932) initially studied painting in his father’s – Aleksander Jasiński – studio. During the period 1877–1882, he attended Wojciech Gerson’s Drawing Class. Then, until 1884, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Kraków under the tutelage of Leopold Loeffler, Feliks Szynalewski and Florian Cynka. During the period 1885–1889, thanks to a scholarship granted by the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, he studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. In 1890, he travelled to France. Jasiński’s works were already awarded at national and international competitions at that time. From 1894 onwards, the painter partially resided in Warsaw.
