The porcelain perfume bottle is flat and has a round body, as well as a short neck. The sides of the body are fluted. On its surface, there is a miniature painting in a golden frame with the representation of two buildings against the background formed by trees. One of the buildings is classicist, featuring an impressive portico with a tympanum, the other is a white tenement house or a three-storey house. In the foreground, there is a male figure in a 19th-century outfit. Below the miniature, a golden inscription in Fraktur, which reads: “Altwasser” has been placed. On the neck of the bottle, a thin golden strip has been painted. The bottle stopper is glass, elongated and bevelled. The miniature painting depicts classicist architecture; traces of the brush are visible from close-up. Such miniature paintings were a form of immortalizing the appearance of well-known buildings before the invention of photography. It is probably a souvenir from a health resort, depicting a specific monument.
